Parlor Magic - G1 Browser display: This program specifies no HTML font type for its display, allowing the user to modify its onscreen appearance as desired in that regard. The font styles for the default web page's rendering may be changed on Microsoft's & Google's browsers, but the option isn't obvious on a menu. In the Settings dialog box, type "font" into the Search entry, and an Appearance pick box will be provided. Change the default or standard font entry as desired. If desired to change the background and/ or character colors, one would need to revise the HTML source code file's Color constant names in an offline file, which is not too difficult a proposition either. Equipage: Each side uses a 52 card poker deck without Jokers. Cards' character codes: The cards are displayed with a single alphanumeric character: Creatures as A, J, Q, K; Enactments as 2, 3, 4, 5, 6; and Lands as 7, 8, 9, X. Suits are distinguished by the color of the character: the default is Hearts are red, Diamonds are orange, Spades are blue and Clubs are green. Deck stacking: The computer deals both sides' hands from decks arranged by a riffle intersperse in order of: shuffled Cre with shuffled Ena, and then shuffled Lnd into the combo. Player's buttons' manipulation: All player options are directed by use of the three on- page anchor links at the bottom of the screen. Clicking the >next link repositions the pointer cursor ('>') to the next applicable card, manor pool color, or region in a cycling fashion sequentially. Clicking the @pick link then chooses the pointer- indicated item for action. Clicking the Go'g to: link, without having made a @pick, breaks from the currently accessed options and passes to the noted segment; and sometimes acts as a toggle for conditions prior to making a @pick. When this link shows Go'g on: , it may act as a local status toggle (for instance the opening choice to show or hide the computer's hand cards), or else might only serve as an information readout and be ineffectual for that time. `card sets, & mark Turn Redraw option: Turnon draws two cards at the start of a turn and may select one for its hand, placing the other in the recycle pile. Optionally, a redraw may be called for: placing both the drawn cards in the recycle pile, and before drawing two more to make a then required choice, choosing one card from its hand if any to also recycle. After a redraw the turn is ended automatically and play passes to the opponent's next turn. Taxing (tapping) of Attackers & Blockers: Taxed cards are indicated by the base card being italicized. ` The default rule is for all blockers to be noted taxed on the turn of the attack, as with attackers, but only after Combat Resolution. Because the Use Feature phase follows the Attack/ Blocker Declaration phase, a card declared as an attacker or blocker may still make use of its special feature, and if taxed therewith, deals no damage although its Toughness still applies. Optionally, in future versions, both may be left tagged with their hp (or a damage points code number) as having participated in combat unless a special ability was used, while still able to use a special abillity until taxed at that time.
